Venice Beach

I love that I can leave the office and go sit on the beach to enjoy my lunch. Here are a few shots I took yesterday while hanging out in Venice and feasting on some weekend leftovers.

My cat is cuter than yours

I've recently been practicing my photography and who could possibly be a better subject than my adorable cat, Savannah. I shot this photo with my Canon Rebel XS using an EF 50mm f/1.8 lens. And also, I heart Savannah. She's awesome.

Tony

Tonight I had the pleasure of spending some quality time with my friends Josh and Juliana and their insanely adorable, 13 year old chihuahua, Tony. Tony relaxed happily on his little burgundy blanket as we ate dinner and then carved halloween jack-o-lanterns. I took photos of our holiday inspired works of art, but if you know me at all, you'd know that I have to show you a photo of Tony instead. He's the real gem that's worth taking a look at. How can you not love this little face?

Rejuvenate your mind

I found this TED lecture by Stefan Sagmeister so inspiring. If only we could all take these recurring creative sabbaticals, we might live happier by allowing our minds to take a deserved time out to open up and get energized. I love the idea of allowing yourself the time to get a fresh outlook on our current skill set as professionals (which really is just another form of growth). What better gift could we give our creative minds than a break every once in a while to reboot, refresh and rejuvenate?
